Elder-care professionals of all disciplines visit our Adult Day Program to learn from the Elderwise philosophy and witness those practices in action. Individuals who have trained with us now have a strong foundation in Spirit-centered Care and apply those principles as they teach, work in activity programming, or advocate for change in health care policy.
Through the Elderwise Education Program, we:
- Provide workshops for both direct-care providers and management personnel
- Welcome students from universities and community schools to our internship program
- Offer continuing education opportunities with discipline-specific accreditation
- Provide workshops for family caregivers on Spirit-centered Care and the Elderwise philosophy
- Host ‘conscious aging’ seminars for those interested in their own aging process and personal growth
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and expertise with our exclusive RCW group. I thoroughly enjoyed your session and so did the participants. You kept it moving and let the group dialogue with each other. I know they went home with some thought provoking ideas on a new approach to working with our geriatric populations.
