August 15: Rainier Beach Urban Farming

Do you enjoy being outside, gardening, and giving back to community? Join others living with memory loss, and friends and family, for a dementia-friendly ‘urban farming’ volunteer program every third Friday of the month. We will support Seattle Tilth in growing food for community programs. Volunteer tasks include working in the garden (planting, weeding, preparing beds) or helping prepare lunch for the group. Tools will be provided and please dress for the weather. Space is limited; RSVP by the Wednesday before.

Arrive between 9:30 – 10 a.m.; volunteer 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.; free lunch with fresh produce from 12 – 12:30 p.m.
